The Connection

Dear Church Family,

The scripture says “Without a vision the people perish.”  Do you have a clear vision as what God wants you to do with your life? He has given us a clear mission as to what He wants us to do both individually and collectively. He has called us to be His ambassadors, to persuade others concerning the glorious truth of the Gospel. He has created and equipped each one of us in a unique way to be successful at fulfilling His mission. The only thing left is to prayerfully ask God what we need to do to accomplish it. Each one of us needs to do that both individually and collectively as a church family. Let us all seek God’s answer to this important question and follow after God’s will with all of our hearts. I believe that He wants to accomplish great things in and through our lives if we will trust Him.

Alliance Women Ministry

Nearly 20 Alliance Women have gathered in the Fireside room for numerous workdays since mid-January. Five Alliance men, eight teens, and a group of ladies from Westwood Alliance assisted.

The purpose of this gathering was to sort, prepare and pack boxes of medical supplies for mission hospitals.

Large quantities of sheets, blankets, towels, washcloths, gowns, scrubs and baby supplies were collected from various sources. The majority of supplies came from MedCentral Hospital.

Ladies tore sheets into strips which were sewed together and rolled and packed for shipment. The men did most of the rolling. The count is now over 700 rolled bandages. Some ladies made baby kimonos or repaired other items that could then be useful. Various other medical supplies were included as they became available.

Boxes were shipped or taken to various places to be included in sea containers for overseas hospitals. These shipments went to Hope Clinic in Guinea, the Koutiala Hospital in Mali, the Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, and with the Banks family to the Christian Service International in Haiti. Our teens also had some sheets, towels and wash cloths to take to LIFE for a shipment sent from LIFE Conference to Burkina Faso for Project 132.
